Since 1990, Sound Products has provided audio visual in the Kansas City region, as well as security systems integration for the commercial and public markets. Today we serve over 2500 clients in the Midwest region. We create solutions that influence and enhance personal interaction, consumer behavior, safety and security, and economic success.

Our business has come a long way over the years. We started with two products: background music and drive-thru headsets for fast-food restaurants.

Today, we continue to provide these services, but we also develop, design, integrate and support large scale, complex systems for hospitals, college campuses, retail shopping centers, meeting rooms, senior living centers, and more.


Step 1


The key to a successful audio visual project in Kansas City and across the country is early planning and collaboration. That’s why step one is to discuss what you need.

Do you have meeting spaces that require communication and collaboration tools? Are there opportunities to enhance brand image? How do employees access the building? Are there spaces that need limited access? Are there areas that require asset monitoring?

Depending on the complexity of the project, we may meet one time or a few to fully define the project and review the site. We’ll nail down a clearly defined scope of work that will leave you daydreaming.


Step 2


We are passionate about ensuring every detail is addressed early to create a solid design for installation and construction. Once we’ve clearly identified what you need and where you need it, we evaluate products and approaches that make the best fit. We’ll solve problems you didn’t even know you had. We engage every project with a fresh and creative approach. Using the fact-finding information from the development phase, a drawing is created that reflects the layout of the equipment, along with the inputs and outputs of the various devices. We aren’t artists; but these drawings will paint the perfect picture of how your space will come to life.


Step 3


The success of the project depends on the physical installation of the equipment at the job site. We get the installation done right, on time, and on budget. The installation technicians take the specifications, drawings, and equipment and apply their craftsmanship to build a system of outstanding performance. Our greatest satisfaction comes from the “Wow Factor” when the system is complete and turned on for the first time.


Step 4


The installation is just the beginning of our journey with you. We are invested in keeping your system operating in peak condition. Sound Products has designed a number of support plans, from field service support to remote monitoring and troubleshooting, to ensure your technology system continues to operate at maximum capacity. After all, you’re busy running your business. Leave the rest to us.

A scheduled maintenance plan or preventative maintenance plan can be established to ensure the investment of your audio visual and/or security system performs effectively. And training on the equipment is critical. The value of your investment can only be realized when your employees are fully trained in the proper use of the equipment.
