What they Needed
The Shawnee County Department of Corrections, Topeka, KS, is dedicated to preserving community safety with a commitment to excellence. It processes approximately 14,000 offenders a year. It wanted to upgrade its entire surveillance system for high definition capabilities. Having worked with Sound Products over many years, it sought our advice on the best technology solutions. Avigilon was selected as the high definition camera platform. We continue to augment and improve the coverage in the corrections facility as it evolves and expands.

Design
Sound Products has served as a technical adviser to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for many years. We worked closely with the IT and security team to design the best high definition camera system possible.
Install
The Topeka team worked long and hard getting the camera system installed. It was especially challenging given that the facility was fully functioning and operational. It was critical that the installation be efficient, accurate and functioning properly. The team didn’t stop until it was done right and the customer was satisfied.
